MIT's website is very confusing and disorganized. Here are some links that may make your search for information a bit easier.
student.mit.edu - MIT Websis, the Student Information System; contains class schedules, registration info, financial info, academic calendars, etc.
whereis.mit.edu - An interactive campus map; contains floorplans of all MIT buildings
web.mit.edu/eecsgsa/www - The EECS Graduate Student Association
web.mit.edu/gsc/www - MIT's campus-wide Graduate Student Council
web.mit.edu/asa/www - The Association of Student Activities at MIT
www.eecs.mit.edu - The EECS department
web.mit.edu/athletics/www - Department of Athletics, Physical Education, and Recreation; Follow the link to "Physical Education" to get info about the athletics lottery and classes
web.mit.edu/ist/ - Information Services and Technology; has information on how to print to MIT printers, how to get certificates (which you need if you're reading this Wiki), how to buy discounted hardware, how to download software for free, etc.
scripts.mit.edu - Run by SIPB, lets you run scripts using an Athena account; helpful for running your own Wiki, photo album, etc. on the web
stuff.mit.edu - Also run by SIPB; has links to shuttletrack, free food postings, webmail, MIT events, etc.
matlab.mit.edu - You can download Matlab from this site for free. Note: This version will only work on computers currently on the MIT web.
