EECS TA Guide

Helping to administer quizzes and exams is a major component of being a TA.

Contents

Review sessions

At MIT, TAs are generally expected to run one or review sessions a few days prior to quizzes to help students prepare.

Conflict sessions

When students have conflicts between two or more quizzes, be sure to schedule one (or more) conflict session(s).

Proctoring

If you can, get a grader, LA or former TA to proctor the conflict quizzes. TAs have enough work already and won't get paid any more to do extra proctoring for that subject.
